In english we are learning about films, our objective by the end of this assessment is to create a short scene from what we have learnt, so far we have learnt different camera angles, camera shots,sounds,effects, that they use in movie scenes to bring them to life, in the 2nd week we will be taking notes, and analyzing the movie that we are going to watch, so we will have  to find out the names of different angles and camera shots that are being used in the movie, and that is what my class is learning about so far in English.

The topic we are learning is integers and algebra on Monday our group was divided and all went to learn separate languages of algebra, In mine I learnt the meanings of both coefficient and varibles, I then explained the meanings back to my group and that is what I am blogging about today, The first one I will start off by teaching is coefficient, this is used in algebra as a number, what this number represents in algebra is the number that is always multiplied by another varible, This means in the example bellow the coefficient is the number 5 or 8 beause the number is always the one that gets multiplied, now the next one i learnt is a varible now a varible is a letter that represents a unkown number, so in the example bellow it shows the letters x and y those two letters represent unkown numbers which is another form of algebra so those are my two words i learnt in algebra i hope u learnt anything from this.

We are learning about static images:

Why we learnt about static images is so we could convey a message using a image, our objective was to create a static images explaining the healthy lunches situation, so our class made a static images explaining if we want to keep healthy lunches or not, our reason why for why we did this is so we could convey our message to the current government national, down below is a example of what we have made. (I definitely didn’t make this)

The meaning of globalisation is the process by which business or other organisations develop international influence or start operating on an  international sale, which means the purpose of globalisation is that it changes the way nation, businesses and people interact, one of the biggest benefits to globalisation would be that globalisation allows companies to find lower-cost ways to produce their products like companies that use 3rd party labouring in different countries all around the world, It also increases global competition, which drives prices down and creates a larger variety of choices for consumers. Lowered costs help people in both developing and already-developed countries live better on less money. But there are also many downsides to globalisation the worst one would have to be the amount of exploitation of labour and resources since that globalisation is based around products and manufacturing the amount of resources they use leaves a big hole global warming because lots of materials and machines that they use to harvest leaves a big mess with carbon foot print there are also dark sides to globalisation as well.

We have been learning about how to simplify whole numbers, here is my example, 8:16( they are both even numbers so I can divide them by 2 first. 4:8> 2:4>1:2.

So far what we have been learning about cultures and talking about our own we have learned numerous things about culture and what sorts of traditions they have within it, we have learned what types of cultural materials they use in different cultures, we know what happens traditional in different cultures when theirs a celebration or family event etc, the thing we mostly learned about cultures is how things are done what foods they eat, how they do celebrations and a lot more, some of the more important things we have learned about culture is the differences between their Material culture and their non material culture, we filled out a mind map to sort out what was non material culture and what was material culture, material culture is more like buildings, art , clothes, weapons, shops, etc, And what we learned about non cultural material is that its more about ethnicity, beliefs, religion, language, values, celebrations, family events, Those are some of the key things we needed to know first before we can dig any further into cultures, we are now studying about all sorts of different cultures like Japanese, Saudi Arabian, Chinese ,  etc, and all of our class has chosen many different cultures, our purpose for learning about these cultures is to learn how other cultures differ to ours.

What i did for my science project was study on elephant toothpaste,in my science fair project i talked a lot about how it worked,how much destruction it can cause, etc, the reason why i chose that to be my science project is because i think it is the perfect project to work on, it contains many chemicals that all relate to science, some interesting things i learned about it while i was doing research about it was how the different chemicals made the elephant toothpaste react,some chemicals would make it explode up into the air while other chemicals could make it foam up everywhere and starts expanding, i also added in two methods about how u can make it, there is a safer version and a more dangerous one, the safer one is more weak and slower but after a while it starts working and spills everywhere,the other version is way more better in my opinion it starts coming out rapidly and starts to foam up in the air its way more lighter than the other one and it expands more into the air than just being a thick liquid spilling everywhere,  my whole purpose of that project was to figure out how efficient both of those methods worked in destruction.

What i have got in mind for a holiday are a few things for the first thing i want to do is crash a car into a train, i think it would be really cool because i get to see the car blow up and the train derail and go all over the place, the reason why i want to do this is because destruction is one very fun hobby to do, the second thing i want to do is go to the military and try out all of their weapons, the main thing i want to use their is a tank so i can blow stuff up,i like shooting things with guns to so i wanna join the military on the holidays, i have a lot of ideas in mind of what i want to do there, and one of them is i want to drive a armoured vehicle into a explosive like land mines, rpgs, etc, the next thing i want to do in the holidays is do a full open air soft battle with no limits for example, helicopters,cars,etc, after that i want to do formula drift in ken blocks hoonicorn im probably gonna break it but i think im good enough to drift that car and could be one of the best  drifters out there, that is what i wanna do for the holidays.

My name is Leo and i think that the most interesting thing we have learnt in social studies this year would have to be the treaty of waitangi, my reason for why i found it so interesting is because it has a lot of history and stories behind it,  it also plays a big part in New Zealand and was the reason of how the queen became the queen of New Zealand, what i liked about what we were learning about the treaty of waitangi was all the stories we were told about it and what happened during the 1840s their was many outcomes towards the treaty which was one of the reasons i liked it, My most interesting piece of work would probably be how i talked about the waitangi tribunal as they are linked with the treaty because they were the people who made sure they would follow the treaty rules,i talked about who they were, what they did, and their purpose for why they were doing that, i think that i talked a lot about them by giving a lot of detail about them and making sure everything is correct,some things i liked about what i had written about them was their purpose of what they did i showed a lot of interests in that question and answered a lot about them and the treaty of waitangi.

On my holiday it was very boring, i did not see any of the bros throughout the whole holiday, most of my holiday i just chilled in bed and watched movies and played games, i got so bored to the point where i mowed my lawns and my aunts lawns at 6 AM am in the morning, it didn’t even take long for me to do both of them since i was using a ride on mower too that was double bladed, a few days after my mum said that we where taking my sister up ice skating in whangarei our cousins where gonna meet us too, we got their and they had fun but i don’t like doing ice skating so i sat and watched, after that my mum said we where going to time zone so that was fun, i played almost every game there though and after that it got boring because i didn’t know what to  play next, their was this fun game where u had a gun and shoot bottles i was pretty good at it, the trigger was a little bit hard to push down and the gun actually  had recoil on it to making it harder to shoot, my sister was playing the games where she can win tickets and she even won up to 1000 tickets or something, but after  that we had to go and she didn’t know what to decide on spending her tickets on,so i was getting inpatient and i  walked over to her and hurried her up so we could get back home, it was about 6 pm and my mum was too tired to go watch the fire works in paihea  for the Maori new year so after that we drove back home and i fell to sleep.
